Jakub Święcicki, born in 1995 in Poland

A designer of functional textile objects and machine embroidery. He graduated in Design (2018) and Fine Arts with a specialization in Applied Arts and Design (2020) from Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, and completed doctoral studies at the Doctoral School of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (2025). Since the academic year 2025/2026, he has been employed as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Art of the Jan Kochanowski University. He has been closely associated for many years with the Institute of Design in Kielce, where he leads the Textile Studio, and since March 2025, he has held the position of Artistic Director.

His practice operates at the intersection of fiber art, craft, and design, with a strong focus on inclusive, sustainable, and socially engaged projects. He has participated in artistic and design residencies in Poland, China, France, Lithuania, Norway, and Hungary, and has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and internationally – including presentations in Athens, Bergen, Bogotá, Brasília, Gongju, Kraków, Lima, Lyon, Shanghai, Sofia, and Warsaw.

He is a member of Nów. New Craft Poland, a Polish craft association. He is featured in the Homo Faber Guide, an international platform showcasing outstanding contemporary craftsmanship.

His works are held in private and public collections, including the Museum of Craft in Krosno (Poland), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Swatch Art Peace Hotel (China).
