Collecting Destroyed Places
is a series of miniature textile works exploring memory, loss, and traces of destruction embedded in material. Using felt as a fragile yet resilient ground, the works combine machine embroidery with burning, allowing precise structures to collide with acts of erasure and damage. Each small-format piece functions as a fragment – an intimate record of a place that no longer exists in its original form.
The work Collecting Destroyed Places 002 received the Prize of the Textile Art Section at the 5th International Biennale of Miniature Arts Timisoara 2022.
Following the group exhibition Remnants of the Unknowable (01–14.12.2023) at No.8 Bridge Art Space, which concluded the ICCI Art Valley residency, the works were included in the collection of ICCI Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
